Key Resources
Rocky intertidal habitat and some of the only offshore kelp beds north of Cape Arago. This is one of the best sites on the coast for spotting whales during migrations. |

Typical uses include picnicking, whale watching, sight-seeing, and rock fishing from shore. |

Visual access of the rocky shoreline is afforded from Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint.

Who Owns this Site? Submerged and intertidal lands: Division of State Lands; the upland is owned by Oregon Parks and Recreation Department and managed as Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint; the US Fish and Wildlife Service owns offshore rocks above MHW that are not connected to land at high tide. Most of the land adjacent to this section of rocky shoreline is in private ownership. |

Who Manages this Site?
Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) manages Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint, which is part of OPRD Area 1 and the Beverley Beach management unit. OPRD manages Oregon’s beaches and rocky shores as part of the ocean shore recreation area. |
